Tomomi is not working, so we do not send the baby to a child care. To many mothers, that means not waking up the baby to take the baby out to a separate location at the baby sitter's or child care's place. But, since doing this practice of opening the curtains whenever its day time, the baby has gotten used to waking up and sleeping at the same time as the parents. The first month, the baby still needs getting adjusted to the new sleeping environment versus the floating 9 months water bed of mummy's. But, once the eyesight of Haruka improved, I noticed Haruka adjusted her sleeping pattern almost perfectly and did not disturb the parents' sleep too much. Okay, maybe I am a sound sleeper. But, I think both of us are pretty happy with Haruka's sleep patterns and hope its due to this tip which we would be practicing again for our next child in the future.
This blog will list tips of being a daddy and a parent. My observations of what counts to make your child beautiful inside and out. And yes, a daddy plays a big role in making life beautiful for children in this world. Documenting the past and dreams for the future for my children is the foundation of success for parenting.

Tip 6: Baby to sleep near daylight
Many friends and relatives usually offer understanding empathy when a newborn baby lives with their parents, knowing that they will get sleepless nights. This will surely happen as the baby has yet to adjust his/her sleep patterns to the daylight. But, its good practice to start early to put the baby to sleep near a window where the curtains can be opened during the day to usher in daylight. Of course, newborn babies should not be exposed to direct sunlight, but having a bright room during the day helps the baby sense that its time to be looking around. And when the baby's eyesight improves, he/she will make a point to wake up together with mummy and daddy to work on observing a new day.

10,000 tips is very ambitious. Hope you make it!!
Might have to revise the goal to eventually include grandparent tips as well:-)
I was too excited to even initially target for a million tips. But realized thats not feasible. 1-2 short tips a day makes for 10,000 tips if i blog every day for 20 years. But hey, my children may not be marrying so young would they? And God willing, I am planning more children. So 10,000 tips is probably achievable within the next 30 years. Not sure if I would start a new blog for granddaddy tips :)
