Tip 35: Unwind before you reach home or slowdown on requests

I had a chat with a few colleagues when I just became a new daddy and they game me a tip that they would unwind from the office stress before stepping home. One of them was a manager who would constantly deal with many incapable vendors and he said his 1 hour train ride to home serves well to help him destress. Just before reaching home, he passes by a park and the walk would assist him to forget about work. I told my colleagues that I am usually an easy going and patient guy and do not have much problems leaving office work at the office. Then, I realised that I too have a good habit to make requests when I reached home. So, this tip is handy to be remembered by all even if at first we are at denial mode.

When reaching home, I am nowadays trying to mind my words more. Its true that mummy has not seen daddy the whole day and she is looking forward to hear positive reassuring and loving words. Loving gestures shared at tip 26 do add to the love bank, but still the few words uttered when coming back from office late, needs to be well evaluated before it reaches mummy's ears. Even if there is no grumbling or complaining about work, we should still be wary about making demands and having our requests met. These days, communication time is less with busy parents working, so it is imperative that it be quality time spent and quality communication. May words reflect the love in the heart and all stress be purged out from the heart before reaching home.
