In Tokyo, homes are small and if you have a room/home thats filled with soiled diaper smell, it can choke the whole family and spoil good happy sentiments. So, when you have soiled diapers, you can put them inside this bin with an automatic plastic wrap and good smells coming out. Not such a high technology gadget - but it works and its handy. Then, when burnable garbage day comes, the diapers are pulled out of the bin and the plastic bag tied together to throw. Wow, thats half a weeks worth of diapers. Could have smelled a tonne of sh*t. Hahaha. (Oh yeah, we do separate garbages here in Japan to burnable and non burnable garbages and they are collected on different days of the week.)
This blog will list tips of being a daddy and a parent. My observations of what counts to make your child beautiful inside and out. And yes, a daddy plays a big role in making life beautiful for children in this world. Documenting the past and dreams for the future for my children is the foundation of success for parenting.

Tip 38: Diaper disposal for good smelling home
These days there are lots of neat yet simple tools/gadgets that would make your life easier. I did not know about baby diaper disposals until I heard about it on an internet group for babies. So, I spend an afternoon on a weekend to head over to a neighbour's home not too far away and checked out the items t
hat he was selling and giving away. At first, I thought a diaper disposal would be not so necessary. But, I was wrong and it has proved very useful after all.

I've seen a gadget like this here in one of the upper class families my au pair friend was with. It's one of those expensive and not too necessary gadgets I want to overlook. I'm trying to watch my purchases of things as I'm being caught up with the rest of America who are very concerned with wanting to have every luxury in life.
In Tokyo where we do not have too many open spaces and the apartment is crampy, its much necessary. But, you can actually get many of these gadgets new and free if you are quick and often on the internet. Check out craigslist under Free. But then again, you will be gathering lots of rubbish you may not need. And if you have time again, sell them for cheap!
