Tip 37: Doing the same things before baby came

Surely baby coming into the family adds new challenges, "sounds", responsibilities, "smells" and change of routines. But, we as daddies should try to encourage mummy to enjoy again the good days before baby came. How about that walk around the park, the lunch at the favorite restaurant. Of course, there would be places that are less accessible to the baby but there are surely some that are still baby friendly places hopefully. As daddies, we are usually the ones who should take the initiative. Sometimes, mummy is even waiting quietly to test daddy if he would make the initiative after the baby came. Besides, mummy also need a break from staying indoors at home. So, what's your plan for lunch or dinner?

Before Haruka came, Tomomi and me usually at least have lunches together outside on weekends even if we do not go out for some activity. There were a few favorites such as an Asian buffet lunch for 1000 yen (USD$10) and others. So, after Haruka was 1 month old onwards we did try it out. First, we placed Haruka in a stroller and off we went. Haruka was quiet the whole trip surprisingly. At times, when she was getting restless, I would slightly move the stroller or place it in a new position where baby Haruka can see a new sight. I realised now Haruka enjoys going out and she usually would do mummy and daddy a favor by not embarassing them but instead get praises from the restaurant owners or people sitting close by. Especially in Japan, its a delight to see a cute baby and its a sight to be happy for.

When and Where is this 1000yen buffet?

Lots. But this particular one is along Okubo Dori near to Ushigome Kagurazaka station (Oedo line) serving Thai and Indian dishes. 11.30am-3pm. If you let me know your location, I try to think of 1000 yen lunch buffets near your place. That could be a new tip entry. :)
