Looking back, it just did not dawn on me that a newborn baby is like a white cloth to be imprinted upon. Now, I am figuring out if there were any ways for me to improve her initial perception of the voices and sounds of this world and what are the effects of us parents protecting the baby from unwanted sounds or should parents just let their baby get used to the sounds and noises of the new world the baby has entered into. Its a tough question. But, we should try our best to at least mind our tone of language and avoid any angry sentiments. The baby remembers...

Tip 21: Mind your tone of language
From the first month onwards, the baby is very sensitive to sounds and voices and will be observing the lips and mouths of people speaking with much curiosity. Maybe only by the 2nd-4th month that the baby starts to utter noises through memory of those sounds. A baby would cry when suddenly hearing a loud stump of a falling object or a loud sneeze of a foreign voice. Once I was trying to make a roaring sound a few times to scare a cat away and little did I know that after 2 weeks, Haruka was mimicking the roaring sound she heard.
